Maths Week

We had a great Maths Week in St. Kevin’s this year. Ms. Lynam and all the maths teachers would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped to make the week such a success.

Thanks to all the 1^st Years who entered the Maths Eyes Photo Poster Competition.

• Ms. Lynam’s 2^nd Year class held a fantastic Maths Fair in the Library for all the 1^st and 2^nd Years. There were some great puzzles and well done to all the students involved.

• There were 2 trips for Maths Week. 1^st Years went to Corkagh Park for the Maths Trail and TYs went to the IT in Tallaght for a talk on maths and juggling. A great time was had on both trips.

• Thanks to Mr. Cassidy who ran a competition to guess how much mileage was on the maths teachers’ cars. Well done to Glenn Craig who won this competition. Thanks also to Mr. Cassidy for organising the magician in the library.

• Thanks to Mr. Smith and Mr. Crean who helped the maths teachers with the Sports Maths event in the PE Hall. 1^st Years participated in ring throwing, basketball, darts, mini golf, weights guessing and penalty shots.
